Something in English about our farm…………………

This is my family farm. I have been in charge since -99. I have a son Valtteri (-97) and my fiancé Ari, who is working with me. Ari also drives animals to be slaughtered as his main job. My parents also live on the farm, and in autumn -07 Ari´s daughter Anu moved to live with us.

We have an old and small tie stall barn with about 22-24 cows. Heifers are kept in the rent barn. We have quite a few heifers that are used as embryo carriers. We use quite a lot of Canadian bulls and embryos. Now we also have two co-owned heifers in Canada (You can find them at the link “yhteisomistus” ). Our cows can be found at the link “Lehmat”. I think that our best animals are Kellcrest Unikki ET, HH Uni-Ca ET, Kuortin Ushma ET (cows) and Faucher Yogi ET, Ankon Ylhaisyys and Ankon Yonsilma (heifers) at present. You can find the flashings that are coming from “myydaan”.

During the summer, we participate in shows with our cows and heifers. I really like that! We have also visited shows abroad to see other wonderful animals.
